About the Human Values Project
The Human Values Project (HVP) is an emerging international research initiative examining the alignment between artificial intelligence systems and human values in medical decision-making. Led by Dr. Isaac Kohane at Harvard Medical School, this work is currently in its foundational phase.
As AI increasingly influences clinical decisions, understanding and implementing proper value alignment becomes crucial for patient care and safety. Our initial focus is on developing systematic approaches to studying clinical decision-making across diverse healthcare contexts.
